All the Valdani thread I own is big core so I'm not sure how the normal thread comes. The thread I received only has a small cardboard label on the bottom and the top opening appears to have thread stuffed in it. I'm assuming there is no core in the t-newer spools as it is very soft. Just concerned, Beverley
